Hello if any tigers from that awful winter 1n 1944/45 alive today. My salute to all of you. My Grandfather William J. Venker SR was 2nd LT in 150th Armored Signal Company 10th Armored Div. Around Bastogne East side him and 12 other men cleared a road full of mines at night and many were lost that night. He won a Bronze medal of Valor for that action but i have no details of it are the other names of the 12 men with him. Rest in peace Tigers who have gone to Warrior heaven.

In memory of my father, a proud member of the Tiger division, who passed away June 19, 2011. Frederick August Renz was member of the 11th Batallion, B Company.
He was wounded at Bastogne just before Christmas but returned to duty in Europe before being transferred to Phillipines and later Japan.

My Great Uncle, Charles Pepper, was killed in action on December 19, 1944 at the beginning of the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the 3rd Tank Battalion, 10th Armored Division. He has no direct descendents, but I heard stories about him from my Father who knew him before the war. He was often called Red Pepper because he had red hair. We would love to find anyone who knew him or has information. Thanks,

My grandfather Sergeant Harold J. Christian served in the 10th Armored Division, Company B, 3rd Tank Battalion. He was a tank commander and was wounded on December 19 or 20, 1944 (documents vary) in Noville, Belgium. He never spoke of his experiences prior to his death and I would love to learn more of his history and hear from anyone who might have known him.

The 10th has played a very important part of my life since two of my family were attached to that division in WWII. Following the Battle of the Bulge the unit was split with one group going north to attack Berlin from the west and the others going south to attack from that vantage point. My 19 year old brother, Bill went north and was killed on Easter Sunday, April 1 at Helmstedt,Germany. My brother-in-law, Harry Crain joined the calvary in 1939 and when it was converted to the iron horse division he became a tank driver and then served as a tank commander in Europe. He survived but his experiences were locked in place to most others because he knew they wouldn't understand. Since I served in the navy and had a second brother killed in Normandy following the invasion he talked openly with me about his time in Europe. I am now in my mid eighties and it seems as if the war happened just yesterday. The men of the 10th will always have a special place in my thoughts. Thanks for this site. place
